The World Health Organization estimates that hunger and disease threaten the lives of 80 percent of the Yemeni people. Millions of Yemenis are unable to receive treatment, with 50% of hospitals out of service, along with severe shortages of medicines, medical supplies and health services in general. This field was no less important than other areas in which the Foundation worked, as the Foundation implemented many activities and projects in partnership with local and international organizations in improving the infrastructure of a number of hospitals and health centers, as well as contributing to the decrease in malnutrition rates through projects that mainly targeted children and pregnant women, in addition to raising awareness, health education and combating epidemics, as well as building, furnishing and rehabilitating health facilities, contributing to hygiene campaigns and distributing hygiene materials and health materials.
